Global warming claims its first “frog in a frying pan”.

It was only a few short months ago that the Republicans in America were slamming the scientists claiming global warming.  This week the record storms swept across the southern and eastern states of America killing at least 28 people due to flooding.

The old adage is that a frog will jump from a hot frying pan, but will sit in water that slowly goes from cold to hot until it dies.  The new adage is that Republicans will sit in their homes listening to Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity while the water keeps rising until they drown.

It is safe to say that at least 1 of the 28 victims of the recent record floods in Tennesee were Republicans who worshiped the words of Bill O’Reilly or Sean Hannity.  They laughed and jeered with Bill and Sean in January when they were teasing scientists about global warming.  The scientists would quietly sit there and let the public know that global warming means that the average temperature of the world was rising and that the violence of storm, winter, spring, summer and fall storms, would increase due to the higher global temperature.

The Repbulicans would have nothing to do with science.  “There is snow on the ground, global warming has to be false.”, they said as they teased and insulted the scientists who were trying to help them.  Bill and Sean made direct attacks on these scientists for TV ratings:

Sean Hannity : http://thinkprogress.org/2010/02/09/hannity-snowstorms-gore/

Now three months later, as storms set records all across the southeast, Fox News, Bill O’Reilly, and Sean Hannity are quiet about global warming.  They are focused on a terrorists so that their viewers won’t realize the misinformation that they gave in January that cost lives this spring.

We are living in a country of Republican frogs, all sitting in frying pans thinking that terrorism is our greatest enemy.  I think our greatest enemy is the infestation of frogs.  America is doomed to sit and wait until the water is boiling thanks to Bill, Sean, and the rest of the Fox news mis-information channel.
