Joe Biden : Says Words Republicans Can’t Repeat

When it comes to making public statements that uphold the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, there are lines that Republicans cannot cross. They cannot say “All Americans are Equal”. They cannot say “Everyone has the same rights.” They cannot say “Discrimination is Un-American”.

Joe Biden made a statement today that has everyone in the Republican Party holding their breath.

“I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women and heterosexual men and women marrying one another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties.”

— Vice President Joe Biden on “Meet the Press.”

It doesn’t matter how you feel morally, religiously, or ethically. This is the basis for our country. Equal rights and equal liberty. It cannot be argued. It cannot be changed without the complete loss of our country as we know it.

This is the NUMBER 1 problem that Republicans are grappling with in recent elections. Their fundamentalism is butting heads with the foundation of our free country. As they try to pull bricks of our foundation out, like equality and freedom, they find the whole building is cracking and becoming unstable.

We see the same problem with Islam in democracies around the world. The fundamentalism within their religion, just like the fundamentalism inside Republicans, is in direct conflict with freedom and equality.

This is an issue that cannot be solved. This is the Achilles heel of the Republican Party and we can expect it to be exploited by the Democrats in every election in the future.
